rain rain...go away

Not only is the weather terrible today, I've just had like one of the worst weeks ever...probably like in the history of mankind. I had a great time at my brother's wedding this weekend, and then I get back home and Tuesday was just like the worst day ever..and it has progressively gotten worse since then. For once in my life (I can't believe I'm saying this), I can't wait until Monday..a fresh start and a new week...that's 2 days long and then OFF TO BONNAROO!!!!!!!!! Hooray!

anyway, I have some pictures of my trip to Arizona...me and my brother, the wedding party, the sights, that I would like to share, so here they are..enjoy!

there is something about this place that is just majestic.  I can't wait to go back there VERY SOON!

anyway, I just wanted to share that we found out yesterday that my grandfather has pancreatic and liver cancer and he only has about 4-5 months.  He is ok with it, he is ready to go and be with my grandmother, but its just tough, ya know? 2 grandparents in one year...and I'm at a point in my life that I realize what is going on and that he won't be here to see me get married or see his great grandchildren or stuff like that.  But his vessel has expired and its time to move on to the next best thing (i guess).  I will enjoy the time that I have left with him, and I am going to go see him on saturday and bring him some Seafood Gumbo from Piccadilly (that is where we go on our dates :]), hang out and talk about life, like we normally do, but it will be more bittersweet this time.  I can't wait to see him though..

So much closer....

....to my vacation. I can't hardly wait to see my family for my brothers wedding and play in the desert and take pictures and soak up some rays. I haven't had a vacation in a while and I feel like I deserve one. And even though I am leaving for bonnaroo only one week after I get back from Arizona, I don't feel selfish at all. I have always worked I. The service industry and my vacations have always been based in the public. Now that I have a new job, I can finally do what I want, when I want. I feel as though it is well deserved. However, i must be honest when I say that since vacation is drawing so close, I don't want to do anything except be outside by the pool and listen to music and take pictures. Maybe read a little bit too since that hobby has unfortunately been put in the bak burner for a while.
Anyway, my best friend Miranda got induced into labor yesterday and kenleigh has STILL not come out yet. She is going to be stubborn just like her momma. I knew it from the very beginning. :)
Yesterday when I was driving home from work I snapped a few shots that I wanted to share and are just now getting around to putting them up. I hope you enjoy :D

the sun was the most gorgeous color red and I was just mesmerized by it. It was absolutely breathtaking :)

this is how I feel about you......soo sad that the weekend is over, but that just means that I will be on vacation VERY VERY soon..

I leave on Friday to go to my Brother's wedding in Arizona and that means an AWESOME vacation for me.

So, monday, very soon, this will all be worth it.

When I drive myself....

...my life is found. Oh incubus, how I love thee. While I was driving, "drive" by incubus came in the radio. Now I honestly can't tell you how much I love incubus, words are not enough to express (let's put it this way it's way up there like on the same level as mac and cheese and dancing the macarena-I'm dazed and euphoric). Music has always been a HUGE part of my life. Not until recently have I started to discover music beyond the realm if popular. I have seriously started to enjoy a more eclectic array if music lately and I'm seriously ok with that :)
I don't know why in the world I'm blogging right now, I should be sleeping but I guess I was inspired by incubus :) fare thee well all!

happenings on a sunday

so, after a long shift at work, me and michelle decided to have «crafty sunday» and I must say, it was quite a successful day! I finished up the project that I was working on for my friend Miranda's baby girl, Kenleigh.  It took lots of layers of paint and endless time thinking over and over of what indeed would be perfect but I FINALLY finished it.  Michelle finished her project that she had been working on, and we listened to some GREAT music and caught up on years of lost memories.  I also started on another project for a graduation present for my friend Rebecca and I can't wait until it is finished because it will be äŵëşömë!!!! I'm in a creative mood, sorry :]

Favorite things on Friday

Well I just have a few things that I wanted to share with everyone while I'm waiting to eat with my friend Miranda and her grandma. I have some things that I've seen lately that have been inspiring me an I can't wait to get home and paint! Kenleigh's picture (miranda's soon to be bundle of joy) is slowly but surely coming about and I got inspired by a photo that I saw on Elsie cake's website. I have been seeing some things in turquoise that I absolutely love so here they are:
